Rocky Boutique Resort, Lamai

Rocky Boutique Resort, Lamai

Is a very fine resort, away from the hustle and bustle of Lamai.

Rocky Resort is a private and secluded Koh Samui resort with 33 Luxurious Thai bungalows and Villas. The resort is situated on a private beach, with unparalleled views of the Gulf of Thailand, and only a short walk to downtown Lamai. Long tailed fishing boats can be seen daily as they depart or return home with their catch. Here is the ideal place to relax and feel free to enjoy the natural beauty of this amazing Koh Samui resort.

At Rocky Resort there are 2 swimming pools, one along the beachfront, one in the upper garden. Both have a large deck area where you can sit and relax, order a poolside snack or cocktail. Their restaurant is perched atop a large granite rock, overlooking the ocean. Dinner is eaten with the sound and sight of the waves rolling on to the beach.

The bright lights, bars and night life of Lamai Beach are less than five minutes drive away, and popular Chaweng Beach with it's colourful array of shops, bars and Chaweng restaurants, is a 15 minute drive. Rocky Resort has three secluded beaches enclosed by large outcrops of granite rocks which form idyllic sheltered coves. The seawater is crystal clear with beautiful corals and tropical fish ideal for snorkeling.

Rocky Resort's Samui accommodation has been individually designed with care and attention to detail. Each room is unique and beautifully decorated with elegance and comfort in mind. Many resorts offer Samui lodging, and few have the standards set by Rocky Resort.

The resort holds several events at Rocky's Restaurant including beach barbecues, cocktail evenings, and Thai celebrations and they have the capability of arranging romantic private dinners in their sala and custom menus. Rocky's Restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Koh Samui.

Definitely a place to enjoy your holiday on a secluded beach yet still not too far away from all the action.

Hello, read about your recomandation for this hotel. We are going in the firs week of March in a beach bungalow, but now I am reading that you can not swim in the wather there this time a year, and then someone wrote about the tide, I mean the wather going all up the the stone wall at day time. So then it will not be nice to look at either. From trip advisor I can not find anyone giving rewards from March. We, to in the 60 ies and one 40 year and one 15 year of course were thrilled when we found Rockys because the scenery was very good (reminded us of The Roya blue lagoon) but now it could be devestating since all of us likes pece, calm wather to swim(at least have some real dipps) and snorkel...hmmm Also someone wrote it is a lot of noise there because of many children? hmm
Since you have been there maybe you can give me some answer (I hope).

Also we have 3 more days in Samui..Planning to stay in Chaweng. Then I saw Zazen (but it is the same thing with the wather there also).

I have to tell you that we have been in Koh Samui 11 years ago and we stayd at The Royal Blue Lagoon for under 3000 bath 4 people in a beach bungalow with a great pool at the beach.. For us that was paradise. What a fantasic place. I am crying...now the name is Renicansse and cost 30000 bath 4 pewople. (I am crying)

Kind regards Tone

Hi Tone,

Thanks for reading my blog! The Rocky resort is nice indeed but I would think that the water levels in march should be ok, not too high. Right now they are high but they shouldn’t be around March. There are a few children possibly in Rocky’s.

Zazen is also a very good choice but they definitely don’t have a high tide water problem in March. There is now a children free hotel on Samui, but I need to look up the name in case you’re interested.

The Royal Blue Lagoon, well, the times they are a changing, also on Samui, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse…….

Hope this helps.
